Do you know the dates 9 - 10 November, 1938? You should. Every American should know what happens when good people do nothing! Kristallnacht (Crystal night) happened in Germany as a result of attitudes and political systems against the Jews. First, Hitler proclaimed a one-day boycott against Jewish shops... Jewish children restrictions in public schools... deprived Jews of German citizenship... and so it went. Good people did nothing... they were not Jews!
Here in America first, we accepted torture (against Muslims), then their was water-boarding (which Senator McCain opposes), then the suspension of habeas Corpus (Under the present rules of our leadership... and so it goes. All acceptable. Good people saying nothing!
Now The Constitution:
The Constitution protects individuals against unreasonable searches, but for this protection to have practical meaning, the courts must enforce it. The Supreme Court let stand a disturbing ruling out of California that allows law enforcement to barge into people's homes WITHOUT A WARRANT... All acceptable. Why? Perhaps it is because the people whose privacy are being invaded are just welfare recipients (Usually black people).
Not all people are affected (yet), but as American, all people should be concerned. Who is next? Before the Nazis were through, 6,000,000 Jews were murdered. Hundreds of thousands of Gypsies, homosexuals, disabled people, political dissidents and Soviet prisoners of war were also affected. The attitude that they are only black welfare people should have no place in today's America.
Get involved. Don't be a Good person that does nothing! We are a better country than that!

$37,000 per year for a totally disabled veteran? Could that be true?

Our veterans’ deserve more; a lot more! If Greenspan is correct and the war in Iraq is mostly about oil, then our veterans should share in the profits since they fought to get the profits to the oil companies.
Our so-call journalists should be asking the hard questions and having asked should be giving us the answers. Instead, we are left in the dark and left to debate the real issues. Our veterans are NOT in a position to voice their opinions; they are not allowed to have any. Their job is to get their orders and do what they are told. They are, none the less human beings; highly patriotic men and women who deserve a lot more!
I read some where that a totally disabled veteran gets about $37,000 per year. While a civilian contractor in Iraq makes over $1,000,000.00 for their 5 year stint there. Could this be true? Look what we are spending in Iraq!
I propose that a disabled Veteran get a $100,000.00 a year for life, and 1000 shares in the oil company of his or her choice. THEY EARNED IT! We can afford it… Look what we are spending in Iraq!

MUSHARRAF: A product of the USA? I don't think so.

The newspapers have reported that MUSHARRAF has re-wrote his constitution, employed torture, suppress voices of oppositions, suspended habeas corpus, appointed loyalists to his Supreme court, installed "emergency" rule to justify his actions, and so on. This actions may sound very familiar but it would be a mistake to believe that Musharraf is simply copying the USA by his behavior.
We, as Americans, must never lose sight of the VALUES that make America great! Leaders will come and go and their motives and greed will change. But, the core values of America are what make Immigrants flock to the USA. It remains the greatest country on earth and a land of opportunity for many.
Water-boarding is NOT American. It is a delight of a few in leadership positions. Torture is NOT American, it is the pleasure of just a few. Torturing and killing of specific racial groups is NOT in keeping with the principles of the USA.
America is a great country and will be even greater when we right the wrongs of today, and start spreading the GOOD NEWS of America around the world.

Do remember when Newspapers printed news?

I don't know Ted Turner, personally, but he did send me a note once. As a former hippie, I wrote to him congratulating him on his "One World" initiative, and he answered me. I Kept that note because I Love the man! Anyway, if I did know Ted Turner, I would love to ask him what he thinks of his creation, CNN? I rarely watch CNN, because, it seems to me, it is mostly the ramblings of uninformed talking heads who avoid the real news as one would avoid the plague. The "news" has been taken out of the cable network. it has become, like its so-called fair and balanced sister, a platform for trivia and and bully pulpit in telling us how unpatriotic we are for not embracing torture as the American way. In spite of the "experts" of the media, I still hold these to be true: Habeas Corpus is a principle not to be trampled with. One's religious belief should be personal and not to be used as an excuse to kill others who don't believe as we do. Oil is not worth dying for, no matter who is making billions tucked away in some faraway land. Finally, as an American, I do NOT approve of making deals with rogue nations by proxy as a way for us to "stay clean". There is something wrong, I think, when we buy Saudi oil, a country that make deals with Yemen to buy oil from Sudan; money of which is used to maim and kill in Dar fur. Where is CNN in exposing these minor facts of life?
Of course, these are just my views, which may be wrong, but, if I think the way I do, may there be others. Wouldn't it be nice to have investigative journalists once again doing what true journalists do: Find and print the Truth. I repeat: I am distressed at how low we have gone in the world of the free press.
Joe's Place is such a wonderful place to visit. It offers what is good about our cyber world. It is the reflections of a true American writer, and it offers insights into our own American psyche. It is non-political, and it merely shows America through Joe's eyes, but it is so refreshing! Even if you don't believe in my fears and concerns, you will believe in Joe's world.

Senator Obama. To become the next president you MUST include all the people!

For Senator Obama to win an election and become our next president, he must be a president of All the people. Saying things that are insightful and politically expedient at the expense of the poor and disenfranchised is not a good thing.
I would request that he state clearly what he will do to eliminate the problems facing America today. What could he have done with $500 billion! How will he get rid of systematical racism once and for all? What about poverty?
I would also add that the war in Iraq is a very BIG issue! When people like Alan Greenspan is suggesting the connection between oil and the war, we all must take note. If (and I say a big IF) the war in Iraq was about oil, then the American People deserve answers in a formal forum conducted by Congress!

Microdac energy plan provides tax incentive to individuals who drive cleaner and more efficient cars. This plan would give individuals money back based on the efficiency of their automobile and would encourage auto makers to make more efficient cars. The initial cost would be less than $1billion dollars per 1,000,000 drivers, which would generate 10o times that in commerce. For details listen to the podcast.

I DEFEND IMUS. He made an eror and he is sorry.

I defend IMUS (of Imus in the morning). He made an error and he knows it. It was, I think, a Freudian slip (said in the heat of the moment), and he apologized for what he said. he was being sincere , I believe him and he should be forgiven and allowed to get on with his life. To suspend him or to take him off the air is bowing to hypocrisy! There are far greater atrocities being done TODAY and far worst acts against humanity that is being ignored by the news media. They (the news media) should be help accountable for their lack integrity and for their dishonesty in reporting what is NOT news! What about illegal immigrants? Child slavery? The Iraq war and who is profiting for that war?

HISPANICS are people, too.

Of course that is an obvious and unnecessary statement, but I wanted to make a point. We paint pictures based on what we are told and what we choose to believe, and not always based on facts. Mention Illegal Immigrants and an image is formed in our mind. We really should examine how we, as people, are fanning the flames of hatred simply based on our own prejudices.
Abuse of illegal immigrants are on the rise, but cares? They have no money and they have no voice and are easily exploited. It is far more wide spread than one would believe.
Exploitation, political and otherwise, seems to be the order of the day.

COMING SOON: Barcoding and branding our children as criminals!

Bad things happen when good people do nothing. That was one of the main lesson of World War II (and subsequent wars). We knew the truth and we knew what was really happening, but we did nothing. As Americans, we MUST do everything we can to protect America ; its beauty and its ways of life. We must protect our civil and personal liberties, if not for ourselves, we must do it for our children. Apathy is no longer an option. We must make a conscious effort to stop dividing America into the "US" vs "THEM" attitude and do not let the politicians get away with dividing us as Americans. If not, the way we are going, it is just a matter of time, and our own children will be the victims of our neglect.

The three worst violators of free expression - North Korea, bottom of the index at 168th place. Northern European countries once again come top of the Index, with no recorded censorship, threats, intimidation or physical reprisals in Finland, Ireland , Iceland and the Netherlands, which all share first place. The united States is #53 (Down from #32).
According to REPORTERS WITHOUT BORDERS "The United States (53rd) has fallen... Relations between the media and the Bush administration sharply deteriorated after the president used the pretext of "national security' to regard as suspicious any journalist who questioned his "war on terrorism". If your newspaper support a free press, you should give them your full support. Intimidation and threats should not be a part of America's heritage of a free press.

I VOTE FOR THE VOLT: General Motors new electric car!

General Motors new car called the VOLT is perfect for the American market. Top speed 100 mph (bursts of 120mph), First 40 miles driven is cost free since it runs on pure electric. Charges with regular household 120 plug. 50% lighter than conventional cars. range 640 miles (with built in E85 gasoline powered engine; That is 85% ethanol). If you average 40 miles or less daily, you would save in excess $1800 a year in fuel costs. Support the building of the VOLT! If GM does act soon, other companies will go ahead with their cars; like the MDI CAT (compressed Air Technology) automobiles. Europe and Japan are not waiting either, they are about ready to produce their GREEN CARS... Not everyone in the world believe, as we do, that global warming is a myth. There is nothing politically correct about dirty air, dirty emissions or dirty atmosphere.

WOULD YOU (personally) HAVE SUPPORTED SLAVERY? Are you sure?

What if you heard a rumor that your chocolate was actually harvested by child labor would you buy it? What if the diamond that you cherish was dug up by slave labor, would you still cherish it? What if rumor had it that the beautiful flower bouquet came from a country (Columbia) that is using children as their labor force, would it still smell as sweet? What if you heard a rumor that the war in Iraq was all about Oil, would you believe it? What if you heard that Halliburton, after making over $20billion in the Iraq war (Tax payers money) will now move their headquarters closer to the oil in Iraq, would you believe it? Do you believe the rumor that Cheney's investment of $241,498 with Halliburton made him well over $8,000,000.00? Would you believe the rumor that we buy Saud i's oil, who buy their oil from Sudan (via Yemen), and the money is used to kill people in Darfur? You should not believe rumors, but, you should check things out for yourself!

Let your voice be heard. You CAN make a difference - Vote with your dollar bills.

Your vote at the ballot box may not always make a difference, but your dollar bills always matter. Vote with your dollar bills. Don't compromise your ethics, values and sense of fairness by buying products or supporting services that disregard your sense of Justice and fair play. Never support a company that disregards human lives for the sake of profits. If the environment is important to you, then don't support companies that think that global warming is a myth. You may be too poor to buy influence in Washington, DC, but you DO have friends that share your values. Together, your dollar bill voting matters. If you agree with me, then PLEASE share this with others of like mind.

The thoughts of MICRODAC: I played golf yesterday (Oh boy).

The thoughts of MICRODAC: I played golf yesterday (Oh boy).

I played golf yesterday (Oh boy).

The truth is that golf is one of my three passions. I love golf. Golf, unlike life for the most part, is totally honest. The result of your golf stroke is immediate and consequential. Even Tiger Woods suffered because of his neglect in paying attention to details. Unfortunately, unlike golf, far too many times human beings are destroyed not because of objectivity and fairness, but, as the result of flaws in our justice system. Because of the injustices built into our Legal system, far too many people are wrongfully convicted of crimes they never commit. If we are to change our system to one of integrity and fairness, we must first change ourselves. You, the individual, must make the difference between justice and injustice, by SPEAKING OUT. Apathy is no longer an option. you, could be the next victim of entrapment, false witness, racial profiling, targeting, over zealous prosecutors, political expediency, prejudice, hatred, and false religious assumptions; none of which has anything to do with JUSTICE. The next time you keep quiet when exposed to injustice (Yours or a stranger) , YOU have given your support to INJUSTICE. That is how powerful you are!

SUPPORT our troops. They have earned it!

Support our troops not because of Rumsfeld, Cheney or because a bumper sticker says. Support our troops because they have earned your support. You are enjoying your personal and civil liberties because of the sacrifices of our fighting men and women. Your very freedom to exercise your way of life is not because of our politicians as much as it is the freedom the have been given because of our fighting men and women. Honor our fighting men and women by NOT allowing our principles, ethics, freedom and way of life to be squandered based on deceptions, hate and personal gains. America should always remain ONE nation, indivisible, with LIBERTY and JUSTICE for all. There is no excuse to put aside common sense and personal ethics for the sake of suspensions of our liberties. NO ONE should ever dictate to us, by their actions and behavior, how we should live, and we should never abrogate our freedoms just because a rogue organization says so. We should neutralize that entity that wishes to destroy us, not destroy us because of a rogue entity.

Ben Bridges of white county, Georgia says that "...the teaching of evolutions should be banned in public schools because it is a religious conception stemming from [a Jewish sect]..."
Mr Bridges' education came from a website that calls the Kabbala "... a mystic, anti-Christ 'holy book' ... The web site also declares "the earth is not rotating nor is it going around the sun..."
Listen to my podcasts on these sort of teachings, and why we must work together to make America the best that it can be.
We should not be reading about racism against Arab-Americans , racism in the media. This is 2007. But should support articles that are against racism.
We really need to teach tolerance on schools by teaching our kids about different heritages and about different religions as subjects; each with equal weight. And we should get rid of all single heritage, divisive government supported holidays.

APATHY is worse than hate. How do you feel about $10,000,000,000.00?

Todays headline in The Detroit Free Press read $10 billion has been squandered in Iraq... Do you care? Listen to my podcast and tell me if you agree. How could even $1billion help your own community? Apathy means a lack of feeling... a lack of interest in things... Hate, on the other, hand, means a strong dislike with enough emotion to do something ( to act) ... I strongly suggest that we do something by acting in America's and American's good.

This time VOTE for America and Americans!

Remember this: I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands. ONE nation under God, INDIVISIBLE. with LIBERTY and JUSTICE for ALL. If you truly believe in America as a country that is ONE nation with liberty and Justice FOR ALL, then you must vote the issues!!!!
Use the search engine below and look up the issues.
Use the search engine below and put your candidate's name and the issue and read the answer. For example, " Kennedy and civil rights". "Reagan and Communism" ... and so on. This time be an informed voter and vote the issues, not the party. Vote reason not dogma.
America is a great country and should be respected worldwide for our compassion and our intelligence and the way we treat our own citizens.

Keep our freedom to read alive! Please!

It never cease to amaze me how truly lucky we are. As Americans we do have access to information not matter how restrictive the powers to be try to curtail information. We have foreign newspapers who are as expressive as ours use to be. As a matter of fact, some American newspapers are still free to express themselves. Support them. (As you are aware, many news media have elected to curtail their investigative ways. It can be costly to be accused of being unpatriotic). The news media are, after all, businesses. We are lucky, however , that we do have access to bargain books, which allow us (less fortunate financially) to be entertained for just pennies. And if you are New Age, living in an area where such books are restrictive and considered unchristian-like, you are still free to order online and have the books shipped the same day!
There are works afoot to curtail the Internet and to make it more restrictive. I hope you will join me to stop that. Vote to keep the Internet free. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about the powers reading our mail, listening to our phone conversations and reading our email... I don't like it (sounds so much like the former Soviet Union), but, I am a minority. It is so because the majority have decided that it is best to curtail our civil and personal liberties for the good of us all.
Where is Ronald Reagan when we need him?

Thanks very much.

Thanks very much for reading my blog. Thanks very much for listening to my podcasts. Thanks very much for sharing this blog with your friends worldwide. May I ask that you do one more thing for me? Please feel free to make your comments and suggestions. People who think like us, wanting to make the world a better place, are a minority, but that's OK. we can still read, listen and share.

I love to Travel!

One of my many passions is to travel to as many countries as I can. I am always learning from the different cultures that I am exposed to, and I always make friends as I enjoy the new sceneries. I love photographing Jamaica, and I enjoy the people there.
My three favorite places: Virginia Beach, England and Jamaica... but I love visiting so many other counteies.

Marriage: A practical guide

Marriage is a social, legal and economic contract between two adults. When these adults enter into this contract as friends with honesty, respect, support and trust then there is a greater chance for success, maybe even love.

Dogma vs Reason.

Religion is important to a society in three ways: It is philosophical: It provides a way to acknowledge and worship our inner insight of a "Greater" being. It is political: It is a means to share a commonality between peers. It is Social; that is, it is important in defining a culture.
Since there are seven major religions: Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucianism, Taoism, Islam, Judaism, and Christianity. They all can not be correct. There are over 3200 variations on these seven major religions; all stating that each one is the "ONLY" way to God.
Religion, however, very rarely has anything absolute to do with God, except as a means to promote activities wars, greed, etc., that should have nothing to do with God.
My personal view is that each person's religion should be PERSONAL, non-aligned to any organized group.

POVERTY is good for the economy.

Poverty is good for the ecocomy because it is used by so many industries to make money. Politicians use it as a successful platform. Engineered poor neighborhoods supply the crime needed to support many government organizations and industries. Non-profit organizations and religions use poverty to generate lots of money from the poor.

The thoughts of Microdac

I love people. I love photography. I love to travel. I love golf. I love America and those who want to see America reach its great potential not not only be good but also to do good for ALL AMERICANS.
I want to eliminate racism, poverty, ignorance and injustice.
