Bad things happen when good people do nothing . That was one of the main lesson of World War II (and subsequent wars). We knew the truth and we knew what was really happening, but we did nothing. As Americans, we MUST do everything we can to protect America ; its beauty and its ways of life. We must protect our civil and personal liberties , if not for ourselves, we must do it for our children. Apathy is no longer an option. We must make a conscious effort to stop dividing America into the "US" vs "THEM" attitude and do not let the politicians get away with dividing us as Americans. If not, the way we are going, it is just a matter of time, and our own children will be the victims of our neglect.

What if you heard a rumor that your chocolate was actually harvested by child labor would you buy it? What if the diamond that you cherish was dug up by slave labor, would you still cherish it? What if rumor had it that the beautiful flower bouquet came from a country (Columbia) that is using children as their labor force, would it still smell as sweet? What if you heard a rumor that the war in Iraq was all about Oil , would you believe it? What if you heard that Halliburton , after making over $20billion in the Iraq war ( Tax payers money ) will now move their headquarters closer to the oil in Iraq , would you believe it? Do you believe the rumor that Cheney's investment of $241,498 with Halliburton made him well over $8,000,000.00? Would you believe the rumor that we buy Saud i's oil, who buy their oil from Sudan (via Yemen), and the money is used to kill people in Darfur ? You should not believe rumors, but, you should check things out for yourself!

Your vote at the ballot box may not always make a difference, but your dollar bills always matter. Vote with your dollar bills . Don't compromise your ethics, values and sense of fairness by buying products or supporting services that disregard your sense of Justice and fair play. Never support a company that disregards human lives for the sake of profits. If the environment is important to you, then don't support companies that think that global warming is a myth. You may be too poor to buy influence in Washington, DC, but you DO have friends that share your values. Together, your dollar bill voting matters. How could even $1billion help your own community? Apathy means a lack of feeling ... a lack of interest in things ... Hate , on the other, hand, means a strong dislike with enough emotion to do something ( to act) . .. I strongly suggest that we do something by acting in America's and American's good.
